Bio

Shaney McCoy grew up writing and playing music in the small Kansas town where she grew up, influenced by songwriting greats of the 70's like Jim Croce, Kris Kristofferson, Carole King and James Taylor. Over the years she has performed with bands and ensembles, but most frequently performs as a solo artist. Her shows feature her original songs that are a unique blend of folk, country and blues, and she loves the intimacy and rawness of sharing her voice and her guitar with listeners. She has released 2 full-length albums, "Bridges I Can't Burn" and "So Much of Nothin'" and has received international terrestrial radio airplay. In addition to writing, producing, recording and performing her music, she thoroughly enjoys her work as a mental health counselor. In her spare time she can often be found traipsing around the mountains of Colorado with her two dogs, riding her horse, and spending time with family and friends.
